Custom Dining Chairs: Dimensions to Confirm Before Production
· TY Furniture Factory
Start with the table
Measure the finished table height and the space below its apron. A chair with arms must clear the underside if you want it to tuck in. Consider the tabletop thickness, table legs and the position of diners, not just the distance from floor to table surface.
Check the sitting proportions
Ask for seat height, seat depth, seat width, back height and arm height where applicable. A thick seat cushion can change the effective sitting height. If you have a chair you like, share its measurements and explain which feature feels comfortable rather than copying one number without context.
Allow room to use the chair
Draw the chair at the table and leave space for a person to pull it out and walk behind it. Check whether a large backrest, swivel base or splayed legs will interfere with a wall or another chair. A room plan and table dimensions help the factory interpret your request.
Approve one clear specification
Choose the visible frame finish and upholstery reference, and identify any contrast piping or stitching. For repeat dining chairs, confirm whether the same specification applies to every piece. For a larger order, discuss whether a sample chair is needed before wider manufacturing.
